The Science Faculty has a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
Biology , Chemistry and Physics are taught by all members of the faculty up to GCSE. A level is taught by subject specialists.

Key Stage 3

All pupils are set on ability at the beginning of year 7, however assessments at half yearly intervals allows movement between the sets. The topics studied are based on the QCA framework which is a graduated programme of study from years 7 to 9.

Key Stage 4

At GCSE we offer a range of courses.

• Science (Core and Additional)
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics
• OCR Nationals

Key Stage 5

AS and A2 courses available for the following subjects:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Applied Science

The minimum entry requirement for these courses is 5 A*- C GCSE passes. Students who do not meet this requirement may be accepted on the Applied Science course subject to an interview with the Head of Faculty.
