Uganda
During the summer holidays, a team of sixteen people, including eight students from Year 10 and two teachers from Cator Park School, travelled, many for their first time, to Uganda, to work with Esuubi Trust on some of their current project work.

The trip was a great success, with the team managing to complete painting work and varnishing at the two new houses at Ekiwumulo, the new and exciting orphanage Village being built by Esuubi Trust to house more of Uganda's poorest children.
The team was also involved in teaching, medical checkups, giving out clothes and other basic necessities, as well as visiting surrounding villages, the local maternity ward and generally showing the orphans the love that they so badly crave. When interviewed at the end of the trip, one student commented, "I will now value so much more what I have." Despite having no running water and very basic facilities, another team member commented that, "the hardest part about being here in Uganda is having to leave the children behind".
