They begin GCSE Religious Studies in Year 9.

Key Stage 4

The Humanties Faculty offer four subjects at GCSE.

• RE:  Full course on Religion and Life and Religious and Society for all pupils.
• History:  Study of Medicine and Nazi Germany coursework on Penge and Arab Israeli Conflict.
• Geography:  Study of population, settlement, volcanoes and earthquakes, coasts and rivers, economic factors.
• Sociology:  Study of various aspects of society including family, education and crime and defiance.

Key Stage 5

The Humanities Faculty offers 5 AS/A2 level subjects:

• Geography
• Religious Studies:  Philosophy and Ethics
• Sociology
• Government and Politics

5 GCSEs A*-C are needed to embark on an advanced course.
